What is a standing committee? Members that work with the local union executive board to identify topic, programs and issues that are important to the membership, the community, the local union and larbor movement as a whole.

• Citizenship and Legislative Commitee also referred to as CAP (Comminuty Action Program) - If you believe tgar people we elect greatly impact the political ckunare for working families AND you want your voice heard, then this is the committee to join.

• Civil Rights Committee - This committee works towars elimination of discrimination in the work place, the community and the nation.

• Community Service Committee - Members of this committee work through public and private organizations to assure that help is available for those in need.

• Recreation Committee - This committee provides a variety of leisure time activities, such as fishing, bowling, sporting events, shopping trips, etc.

• Constitution and Bylaw Committee - Your union is governed by locally established bylaws. Members of this committee are responsible for submitting original and/or amended bylaws for discussion and approval.

• Education Committee - If you are committee to providing education that informs, develops skills and motivates our leadership and members, this committee is for you.

• Union Label Committee - An effective committee supports the labor movement by informing and educating members about goods and services produced by union members under union-won working conditions. Protect our jobs!!!!

• Veteran's Committee - As a member you will represent the interests of all active and retired UAW veterans and their families. They fought for us. It's our turn now!

• Women's Committee - This committee informs and educates to further the gains of women in the workplace, We can make a difference.

• Chaplaincy Committee - This committee provides spiritual support to members.
